For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Brett Lisikatos, a born and raised New Yorker from the Hudson Valley. From a young age, I had a natural knack for pencil drawings, spending hours sketching and refining my skills. As a teenager, I started to take my art more seriously and pushed myself to grow beyond the basics.
My fascination with tattoo culture was sparked by watching emerging tattoo shows on TV, which fueled my curiosity about the industry. At 16, I got my first tattoo—and I was hooked from that moment on. That experience shifted the way I approached my artwork; I began focusing on what makes tattoo art unique compared to the pencil and charcoal drawings I’d been doing.
With this growing passion, I began professionally tattooing in 2018. While I’m versatile across many styles, I specialize in black and grey realism, fine line work, and intricate micro/stipple techniques.
I am also the founder of Lisikatos Tattoo Co, a tattoo shop I’ve built into what it is today—a safe, clean, and professional environment that warmly welcomes everyone. For me, tattooing is more than just art—it’s a way to connect with people’s stories and create lasting pieces that resonate deeply.
